AUSSIE DUO NICHOLSON AND WILLATON CONFIRMED FOR CLASS 1 TURKISH GRAND PRIX

Wednesday, 5 June: Darren Nicholson will head to Pendik-Istanbul for the Turkish Grand Prix in ten days (14-16 June) looking for his first win in Class 1 in just his third Grand Prix outing.

The Australian from Valentine, NSW, has confirmed he will again be partnered by fellow-countryman Ross Willaton from Willowvale, Queensland in the Victory hull sponsored by HUB.

The Aussie-duo raced together in Class 1 for the first time in the season-opener in the Sanya Grand Prix in China, grabbing their first podium in qualifying with third, adding a second in race 2 with second place.

Nicholson has made quite an impact since his debut last year racing in the final two Grands Prix of the season in Dubai and Abu Dhabi with New Zealander Peter ‘muddy’ McGrath, the first podium coming in race 2 in Dubai, with third spot. They went on to pick-up two more in Abu Dhabi with third in qualifying and matching it in race 2.
