Paddlers from around the world come for the challenge on the water, the beauty of Manhattan and the camaraderie in paddling for a cause.
The SEAPaddleNYC serves as Surfers' Environmental Alliance's primary fund raiser. The Paddle and ancillary events raise money for environmental preservation, a number of non-profit autism organizations and for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, bringing awareness to and supporting the causes closest to SEA's core values.
Started in 2007, the 26.5 mile marathon paddle around Manhattan is acknowledged as one of the first SUP events in the country. It's raised more than $1.7 Million by drawing hundreds of participants from all over the world -including legends like Gerry Lopez, Tom Curren, Joel Tudor, & Jamie Mitchell.
We continue building the SEAPaddleNYC into an internationally recognized event, showcasing how paddlers can make a huge difference in helping important causes while having the time of their lives.
