Class 1 Offshore Racing - LFFendi 10 Gets Facelift

Shared by UIM Class 1
LFFendi10 will roll-out in a new livery at the season-opener in Sanya, Hainan Province, China (28-30 March) when Luca Formilli Fendi and Giovanni Carpitella start their 2013 campaign, looking to improve on their third overall in last year’s Championship standings.

After switching into their Victory hull, the all-Italian duo produced an impressive run in the second half of 2012, picking up four podium seconds in Gabon, Dubai and Abu Dhabi and a second quickest in qualifying in Dubai.

Team Manager and crew chief Marco Bonomo is currently in Dubai prepping the boat; he has confirmed the number 10 will run the same SCAM engine package but most likely with some slight tuning modifications.

The line-up in the Outerlimits hull that is managed by the team and ran as Subseapilot in the UAE is still to be confirmed, but may well see the Norwegians Yngve Bratland and Bjorge Jacobsen back in the cockpit.

Bonomo also confirmed that the number 8 would run the V8 Sterling package in Sanya with a possible switch to SCAM later in the year. The team will interchange between Herring and Five Axis props on 10, with the second boat running Hering.
