Vendee Globe Ocean Race - ETA or Day Off?

Tanguy de Lamotte would like to refine it a little more his ETA to give appointment to the thousands of spectators who eagerly await, family, relatives, friends, sponsors... Day Off as the wind seems to have decided to take a break on the eve of this February weekend. The mixing doesn't suit the skipper and Initiatives-coeur tries to find a solution to this climatic imbroglio. A situation almost similar for Alessandro Di Benedetto that displays a progress "record" 91.8 miles within 24 hours.

Tanguy de Lamotte has made a quick little update of his ETA in Les Sables d'Olonne. If its routing gives an arrival in the night between Saturday and Sunday, too late to enter the channel, the wind may force to restimated his date of arrival and he may arrive later. In fact, the wind may shift to the south-east, which would result in many more hours of front wind navigation for Initiatives-coeur. Then the ETA may change to Sunday night. However, if the conditions remain the same, it will be Sunday morning Tanguy is currently 392 miles away from the finish.

The wind in the south of the Azores has also decided to abandon Alessandro Di Benedetto. Even slower than before, Team Plastique is struggling to emerge from this area of high pressure. During a telephone conversation yesterday afternoon, Alessandro said he hoped the arrival of a saving strong wind but for now he has to wait. For 24 hours, only 91.8 miles were added to his counter. Alessandro evolves at at speed of 4.6 knots. He is currently 1,635 miles away from the finish and 476 miles away from the Azores.
