It will be USA vs Great Britain in the first ever race for the
powerboat global circumnavigation world record. The race is scheduled to start
on November 2, 2013, with the two teams taking different routes around the
world.
The British teams led by Alan Priddy will be racing a 90 ft
purpose-built wave piercer called Accomplish More, powered by two 500 horse
power diesel engines on a 23,860 for nautical mile route.
The American team led by Ralph Brown will be racing a 56 ft purpose-built
catamaran name TBA, powered by two 350 horse power diesel engines on a route to
be determined.
