Olympic Surfing Lobby Continues

The International Surfing Association has been invited to deliver a presentation at the Sport For All, a conference aimed at Olympic leaders.

Fernando Aguerre, the president of the International Surfing Association (ISA) will talk about the positive effects that surfing has had on the people of Peru, as an example for the power of surfing in countries and communities.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogue, IOC Director of Olympic Games Gilbert Felli, IOC Sports Director many other Olympic leaders will travel to Peru to attend the Sport For All conference, in Peru.

In May, Aguerre will be at the SportAccord International Convention, a great opportunity for ISA to continue to strengthen current and build new relationships with key Olympic partners from around the world, as well as to bring surfing and standup paddle to the spotlights, when it comes to global sports.

In September, the ISA president will be in Buenos Aires attending the IOC Session, the stage of the announcement for the final list of sports and the host city for the 2020 Summer Olympic Games.

Also, the election for the next IOC President will take place and this decision will be a key momment to ISA's Olympic surfing efforts, despite having lost the chance to showcase at the 2016 Rio Games, in Brazil.
