There’s no shortage of activity at the America’s Cup this weekend with the Louis Vuitton Cup semifinals just around the corner.
On Saturday, all three challengers were on San Francisco Bay, getting in valuable training time. For Emirates Team New Zealand, it was the first time not the water since a round of modifications kept the boat in the shed for five days (see video below). The Kiwis next race in the Louis Vuitton Cup Final beginning August 17.
Time is more pressing for Luna Rossa Challenge and Artemis Racing who meet in the best of seven semifinal beginning on Tuesday at 1:15pm. Both teams were hard at work on Saturday and are also expected to train at least one more day before Tuesday.
In contrast, ORACLE TEAM USA hasn’t been sailing since Wednesday. The defender’s first race is on September 7.
