2013 Pura Vida Ride Paddle Battle! - June 1, 2013

The 3^rd Annual Pura Vida Ride Paddle Battle is back and it will be the biggest and most rewarding event we’ve had! We have leveled the playing field so that everyone has a chance to win the overall prize – a $2,500 Surftech Jamie Mitchell Lahui Kai 12’6 Race Standup Paddle Board! This is the same model board that was used to win the 2012 Paddle Battle, and this year it can be yours!

The racing this year will be based on a point system. For one fee of $40.00 / CRC 20,000, competitors can participate in as many races, or as few races, as they would like. The more races you compete in, the more chances you have to win points. At the end of the day, the competitor with the most points wins the SUP!

To win will take strategy, not pure strength, skill, or a fast board. Some may choose to compete in every race, or pick just one race that they are best at. The choices and strategies are endless and will require training and forethought to have the best possible chance of winning the most points.
