Standup paddling continues to gain more popularity among the general public, and mainstream media is paying attention. If you haven’t noticed, lately, some of SUP’s top athletes have been spotted in high-profile news outlets, from Gilligan Gibree‘s recent cover shot on yoga’s top publication, to Slater Trout in the Huffington Post and a handful of gossip mags, mainstream media is sharing the publicity love with SUP. ESPN has picked up on the SUP buzz, too, with their espnW profile on our SUP Awards’ Top Female Paddler of 2012, Candice Appleby.
