Tim Woodhead from Industry Wake Parks says; ‘We have designed a course that mixes high end purpose built wakeboard obstacles with some heritage from the local area to build the most challenging Red Bull Harbour Reach. Liverpool is a historic dock and its history is embedded in the waterways and we wanted to mix that into the course design. Riders will be jumping over the famous Brocklebank Tug Boat and there will be a rail over a canal workboat!
Working in partnership with Liverpool City Council, Red Bull Harbour Reach will be a key attraction at the forthcoming River Mersey Festival, taking place across the city from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th June.
Liverpool City Council’s City Event Manager, Susan Lees says “We are pleased and excited to host Red Bull Harbour Reach this coming June 2013 at the Albert Dock in Liverpool as part of the Mersey River Festival event. This is in part not only due to its profile and prestige but also being a new and exciting addition to the established ‘On the Waterfront’ series”.
