The Florida State Paddleboard Championship, April 19, 2014

The Florida State Paddleboard Championship (FSPBC) is one of the longest running paddleboard races on the East Coast of the United States (since 2000).

It was the first race on the East Coast to offer a Stand Up Paddleboard division (in April 2007).

The FSPBC is held in conjunction with the Easter Surf Festival, a four day event that draws 15,000 to 20,000 spectators daily. It is held on Saturday, the busiest day. In 2014, the FSPBC will be held on April 19th.

This is a World Paddle Association points sanctioned event.

The FSPBC is a 7 mile open ocean race. The King and Queen of the Beach Competition (a 3 part sprint event consisting of a swim, paddle, and run) is held at the completion of the 7 mile race.

At the end of the competition, there is a free raffle offering high quality items which all paddlers have an opportunity to win.

All proceeds from the event go directly to the Cocoa Beach Surf Museum.

Registration will be on-line only through the WPA Approved PaddleGuru Registration Site.
We will NOT offer day of event registration.

Friday (April 18) evening early registration will be held at (TBD) from 5pm to 7pm.

This is a 7 mile open ocean course that begins and ends at the famous Cocoa Beach Pier.  The turn around points are both located at the most popular beach parks in Cocoa Beach.  This ensures that the race will have the best spectator exposure of any race in Florida.

Both parks and the Cocoa Beach Pier have Ocean Rescue services.  Additionally, there will be water borne Ocean Rescue support.
