What is the Volvo Ocean Race? For almost 40 years, the Volvo Ocean Race has provided the ultimate test in sailing, providing human drama and sporting excitement on a scale like no other. For more information on the history of the race and the great sailors who have appeared in it, click HERE.
When is the next edition? The 12th edition of the Volvo Ocean Race will start from Alicante, Spain on October 4, 2014. The race will last around nine months, finishing in Gothenburg, Sweden with a final in-port race on June 27, 2015. For an easy-to-read table with exact dates, click HERE.
