Final Day Billabong Rio Pro ON At Barra Da Tijuca

BARRA DA TIJUCA, Rio de Janeiro/Brazil (Sunday, May 19, 2013) -The final day of the Billabong Rio Pro has been called on with the Quarterfinals commencing at 8am in clean three-to-four foot (1 metre) waves at the primary site of Barra da Tijuca.

 
Event No. 3 of 10 on the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour (WCT), the Billabong Rio Pro has utilized the length of the 12-day window and will crown an event winner by day’s end.

“Final day of the window and we’re fortunate enough to have good swell and conditions on hand,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “We’ll commence the Quarterfinals at 8am and anticipate running straight through to the Finals. Good luck to all our remaining competitors today.”

Up first this morning will be Adriano de Souza (BRA), 26, and Kelly Slater (USA), 41, in the opening Quarterfinal of the Billabong Rio Pro.
