Vertical Oar, Putting Stand Up Paddle, SUP on the Map

At the recent Surf Expo in Orlando, I had the opportunity to meet the guys from Vertical Oar, who explained their new and exciting webpage.  Vertical Oar is an online environment for Stand Up Paddle (SUP) enthusiasts worldwide to share SUP locations and find SUP-related businesses.

NECESSITY.Early in our discovery of SUP, we realized that there was no comprehensive SUP location resource on the market. We spent our first few weeks scouring the Internet searching for local businesses that sold SUP boards. Once we had our boards and gear, we spent the next several days looking for SUP spots to launch from, but mostly encountered docks that were too high to safely launch from, and overcrowded parking lots.
